The Inventory Controller for Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of printed packaging materials essential for our OTC and Rx products. This role ensures that our Contract Packaging Organizations (CPOs) maintain an uninterrupted supply of necessary materials for packaging operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive materials management and inventory data analyses to maintain 100% accuracy in printed packaging materials.
- Identifying optimal ordering methods to prevent supply shortages while avoiding overstock situations, all while adhering to corporate fiscal policies.
- Building and nurturing strong business relationships with CPOs to enhance our operational capabilities and support business growth.
- Act as the primary buyer for all printed packaging materials, including labels, cartons, and leaflets, ensuring timely availability for packaging operations.
- Manage materials and inventory control within SAP, ensuring visibility and accuracy of all ordered materials.
- Create and issue Purchase Orders in SAP, coordinating with suppliers to facilitate timely shipments to CPOs.
- Regularly review inventory levels and collaborate with CPOs to ensure alignment between our SAP system and their ERP systems.
- Maintain accurate vendor information and pricing in SAP for multiple CPO sites.
- Develop a thorough understanding of procurement processes and establish strategic partnerships.
- Deliver cost-saving initiatives and service enhancements aligned with Supply Chain Management and Finance objectives.
Educational Background:
BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in packaging, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in procurement principles, tools, and techniques.
- Strong competencies in teamwork, communication, and influencing.
- Financial acumen and results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of packaging markets, FDA regulations, and cGMP standards.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
