Job Title: Turf Current Product Engineer

At Kubota, we are seeking a highly skilled Turf Current Product Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing daily activities of the current turf products group in response to manufacturing requests, field quality issues, cost improvements, and others as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality engineering solutions that conform to Kubota design standards.
  • Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for resolving manufacturing issues, warranty, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with other members of the design team, test and evaluation, manufacturing, purchasing, quality control, etc. for related issues.
  • Create detailed design reports, 3D models, and drawings based on Kubota standards, engineering research, and calculations.
  • Solve technical challenges related to current product designs using root cause analysis.
  • Analyze statistical data, investigate field claims through warranty data, and TSR's (technical service reports) from the sales companies.
  • Follow the safety policy for Turf Current Product engineering team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar engineering-related field.
  • Experience and demonstrated success working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Google-based programs, 3D modeling.
  • BASIC knowledge of turf or off-road vehicle systems.
  • BASIC understanding of material properties: Steel, plastic, rubber.
  • Organizational and motivational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to investigate problems, analyze data, and recommend solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with cross-culture teams.
  • Experience with turf, mowing, outdoor power equipment.
  • BASIC knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines.
  • BASIC knowledge of welding and sheet metal fabrications.
  • Experience with 12-volt electrical systems.
  • Microsoft Project skill a plus.
