Substation Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a key member of our Kiewit Power Delivery district, you will play a critical role in the success of our electrical construction projects.

The Substation Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the execution of substation projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Manage and coordinate the work of foremen, journeymen, and laborers to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure that deliverables meet their expectations.
• Manage and resolve conflicts, negotiate with subcontractors, and make decisions to ensure project success.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to track project progress and performance.

• 8+ years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including substation construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Knowledge of electrical construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
