We are looking for a dedicated Treasury Intern to support our finance department. The intern will play a key role in daily cash oversight, financial assessments, and liquidity tracking. Key responsibilities include assisting with bank reconciliations, conducting financial evaluations, preparing various internal and external presentations, and managing financial data entry tasks. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This internship provides practical experience in corporate treasury functions and is a valuable opportunity for students studying finance, economics, or related disciplines.

About the Internship Program

The College Internship Program offers students a chance to apply their skills and knowledge at Sacramento Municipal while gaining essential work experience. Interns will participate in workshops and activities designed to immerse them in the company culture, enhance leadership capabilities, and develop professional skills.

Purpose of the Role

Under supervision, interns in this role are full-time students who engage in research and analytical tasks for projects that leverage their academic skills and knowledge in relevant fields.

Nature of Work

This position requires regular application of analytical and independent research skills, distinguishing it from roles that involve repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical or research tasks for relevant projects or ongoing assignments.
  • Identify information sources and compile data.
  • Perform calculations and analyze data for various scenarios.
  • Prepare written, graphical, and/or oral reports as needed.
  • Support staff analysts and technical personnel by assisting with their tasks under close supervision.
Required Education

Must be registered as a full-time student (minimum of 12 units) at an accredited institution in a relevant curriculum that provides the necessary skills for available assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Junior standing in academic program
  • Major in Finance or Economics
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
