Job Summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on adult patients, including inpatient and outpatient procedures.
  • Apply cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images.
  • Analyze sonograms, process sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring physicians as needed.
  • Initiate billing for testing performed and maintain active registry status.
  • Participate in laboratory accreditation processes and department quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or Health Science.
  • Minimum of one year experience in vascular diagnostics.
  • Current registry in cardiac sonography through the ARDMS/CCI.
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
