Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer II to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinic policy and procedure for adult patients.
  • Apply cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images.
  • Analyze sonograms, process sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician.
  • Initiate billing for testing performed and maintain active registry status.
  • Participate in the laboratory accreditation process and maintain compliance with OSHA, Safety and Risk Management guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in vascular diagnostics.
  • Current registry in cardiac sonography through the ARDMS/CCI.
  • BCLS and valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
