Job Summary

We are seeking multiple full-time, non-tenure-track faculty members to join our team as Lecturers in Industrial Engineering. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering, with a focus on applications such as supply chain/logistics, manufacturing and service systems, systems modeling, operations research, and human factors/ergonomics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong teaching philosophy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adopt innovative educational practices. A doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field is preferred, and evidence of teaching effectiveness or instructional support at the university level is expected.

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University is a dynamic and growing department with a strong commitment to teaching and research. We offer a rich environment for students to develop not only excellent technical skills but also a broad set of abilities that position them as the intellectual leaders of tomorrow.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering
  • Develop and teach courses in industrial engineering applications
  • Contribute to the teaching mission of the department's Master of Engineering (MEng) online programs in industrial engineering and systems engineering
  • Adopt innovative educational practices and develop a strong teaching philosophy
  • Provide advising and mentoring to students
  • Contribute to internal and external service activities

Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
  • Teaching effectiveness or instructional support at the university level
  • Strong teaching philosophy and excellent communication skills
