Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team at Clemson University. As a key member of our support services, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Desktop Support Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to clients through various channels, including in-person visits, phone calls, email, and remote assistance tools.
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Assisting with software installations, updates, and configurations, as well as providing support for conference room technology and meeting support.
  • Maintaining accurate records of IT support requests, resolutions, and service activities within our approved documentation system.
  • Contribute to and assist with maintaining a knowledge base of common issues and resolutions to assist other technical staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales, or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.
  • A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • An associate's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 1+ years of work experience in information technology or a related field.
Benefits

Clemson University offers a competitive salary range of $46,655.00 to $58,000.00, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
