Position: Budget Support Specialist

Cetechs is seeking a dedicated Budget Support Specialist to enhance our financial operations under the guidance of our Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in formulating the planning strategy for external funding activities.
  • Gather, edit, analyze, and disseminate both qualitative and quantitative data related to financial policies, expenditures, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines concerning fund distribution.
  • Act as a liaison among various stakeholders, including CDC country offices and headquarters.
  • Compile and organize budget data, providing preliminary analyses for budget formulation.
  • Assist in the creation and presentation of both preliminary and final budget documentation.
  • Prepare materials for budget presentations; maintain tracking systems for budget oversight and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Support in resolving issues regarding fund availability, transfers, and budget adherence.
  • Contribute to the annual budget preparation process.
  • Engage in business and budget management tasks, including providing budgetary support.
  • Assist in gathering and structuring information necessary for analyses, reports, training materials, or other deliverables.
  • Conduct budget monitoring, execution, expenditure tracking, and reconciliation activities.
  • Offer technical support to enhance budget preparation and execution methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to work effectively in diverse environments.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently, often under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Grants Solutions software.
  • Experience in logistical management.
  • Experience with CDC operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
