Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. This role is crucial for ensuring that all on-site operations and subcontractors are managed effectively to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within financial constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and comprehend project specifications, designs, and scopes of work to manage each project efficiently.
  • Organize schedules for all trade partners and conduct quality inspections of their work.
  • Oversee material procurement and deliveries to align with project timelines.
  • Allocate labor and equipment resources strategically to prevent project delays.
  • Address workforce concerns and resolve client issues promptly.
  • Perform daily inspections of construction sites to assess progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise the resolution of any outstanding walk-through items.
  • Ensure adherence to company and division standards for construction, quality control, and safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date scheduling and payment systems to guarantee timely payments to trade partners.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on construction management experience overseeing multiple projects.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and management abilities; detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively within a timeline.

Technical Expertise

  • General understanding of local building codes and construction practices, as well as material identification and usage.
  • Familiarity with all stages of home construction.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of standard safety practices on job sites.

Physical Demands

  • May require lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel to various construction sites with varying conditions, including temperature, noise, and potential hazards.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $50,000 - $52,000 annually
