Job Summary

Bayfront Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to provide high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

  • Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
  • Adhere to Bayfront Health's mission statements and strategic imperatives.
Core Competencies
  • Assess the patient's physical condition and age-specific needs.
  • Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  • Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient's clinical history, and assure that the information is accurately documented.
  • Position patient, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors.
  • Perform venipuncture and evaluate IV access for the purpose of contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
  • Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
  • Assist in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
  • Utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure safety of all customers.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Bayfront Health policies.
  • Maintain compliance with all Bayfront Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Maintain well-stocked and organized work areas.
  • Provide patient transport.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CT).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
