Job Description

As a Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our product lines, including Dynamag, Cell washing and concentration technologies, bioreactors, mixing, bottles, and new kits used in Cell & Gene Therapy applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve short-term and long-term sales budgets, including revenue, order intake, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication and Sales to develop high-performing marketing campaigns, including the overall playbook and strategy for sales.
  • Interface with key leaders, including senior executives, key customer contacts, external partners, and functional leaders across the company, to facilitate the timely completion of critical initiatives.
  • Drive Commercial Excellence by expediting sales orders for the product line and developing a product portfolio and roadmap that allows for long-term business growth and budget targets.
  • Establish platforms by combining product technologies and develop a portfolio and marketing mix that enables easy cross-selling and hierarchical cross-selling strategies.
  • Create rationales for standard versus customized products and solutions, driving standardization where it adds value for customers and the company.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure product availability in different geographies, considering working capital, expirations, and other factors.
  • Develop business plans and business models, as well as other rationales for portfolio development and maintenance, including Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) if applicable.
  • Analyze market trends, market segments, and business potentials in collaboration with Sales Management, running NPS and other metrics to drive growth.
  • Set priorities for the development roadmap with Product Development and find the right mix of short-term revenue creators and more strategic technologies.
  • Create scale-up versions and tactics to ensure the implementation of technologies into early customer phases.
  • Develop proposals for strategic moves, including acquisitions and partnerships, and create rationales for make, buy, or cooperate.
  • Participate in Due Diligence, including portfolio assessment, Go-to-Market, business plans, and models.
  • Lead customer co-developments and portfolio partnerships with Product Development and/or Corporate Development.
  • Prepare material for stage gate processes with Product Development.
  • Execute effective product launches, including launch packages, sales playbooks, price guidelines, and after-sales service.
  • Create effective and creative marketing campaigns with Marketing Communication, including application notes, webinars, customer journeys, and other materials.
  • Create selling tools with Sales, such as configurators and process simulation software.
  • Support big RFQs if needed and provide technical support to the Sales Force.
  • Responsible for the cost budget for the product line and drive effective cooperation with Marketing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales.
  • Establish the right KPIs to drive global growth, tracking vitality index, number of trials per region, number of prototypes per region, leads, time to launch, revenue, and order development of product lines and newly launched products against budget.
  • Define potential pricing moves, evaluate them, and select the best ones to drive Commercial Excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a price list per geography for standard products.
  • Network with key decision-makers, opinion leaders, industry associations to anticipate market trends, regulatory, and technology developments.
  • Develop strategic customer co-operations, establish key user groups, and forums.
  • Give presentations on conferences and at customers.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales, Field Marketing, PM, or Application Specialist roles.
  • Expertise in Cell & Gene Therapy.
  • Experience with technology partnerships and portfolio integrations from partners or acquired companies.
  • Has ideally executed pricing initiatives and product launches in the field of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a thorough understanding of social media management and strategy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload while working independently and with teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills that support the achievement of project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written/presentation).
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Professionalism and a high level of customer focus self-initiative.
  • Self-managed (capable of working from a remote location with limited supervision).
