Job Summary

Equiliem is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Controller to lead our financial operations and drive strategic decision-making. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our financial activities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash management, monitor cash balances, and develop accurate cash forecasts to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Accounting Operations: Lead, plan, and coordinate all accounting operations, including accounts receivable and payable, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive internal and external financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide valuable insights for executive decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting practices, recommend process improvements, and implement new systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Analysis: Track and assess business performance metrics to drive financial success and make informed decisions.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Compile, analyze, and present monthly financial reports, and develop and manage monthly and annual budgets/forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate, timely payroll completion, and oversee benefits administration to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure timely completion of monthly bank reconciliations, and document and maintain accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work-in-Process (WIP) Management: Prepare and maintain monthly WIP reports and billings to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the company's strategic planning efforts, providing financial data and insights to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction-specific accounting principles, regulations, and financial management practices.
  • Financial Management: Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in financial and construction management software, including Work-in-Process software and Progress Billing experience.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong active listening abilities, and exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and operations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
