Your role will involve acting as a reliable advisor to business leaders, ensuring you possess a comprehensive understanding of their goals and the unique culture of their teams.
Your resilience will be key in navigating complex situations, and you will lead a dedicated team of Talent Business Partners aligned with various internal groups. This position reports directly to the VP of Talent Management and plays a crucial role in our talent leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with senior leadership and their teams to execute talent strategies that enhance organizational and employee capabilities.
2. Partner with business leaders and Talent Centers of Excellence to implement initiatives such as workforce planning, organizational design, talent reviews, compensation planning, succession planning, and action planning based on employee experience surveys.
3. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the organization proactively.
4. Manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a flexible and innovative approach to support business objectives.
5. Provide support to leaders at various levels regarding performance issues; offer coaching and assist with performance management documentation.
6. Collaborate with leaders to evaluate talent and establish development goals and plans for employees.
7. Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and concerns related to policies and performance management.
8. Conduct thorough investigations concerning employee relations issues.
9. Lead a team of Talent Business Partners, offering coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in employee relations and/or human resources, including at least 6 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in retail Talent Business Partner roles is highly desirable.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of local and federal employment laws, performance management, conflict resolution, and benefits.
- Proven experience in proactively seeking ways to add value to the business.
- Ability to advise managers on complex employee issues and workforce challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to align YETI's Executive Leadership Team with talent strategies.
- Capacity to adapt to multiple demands and shifting priorities while taking responsibility for outcomes.
- Proven ability to build productive cross-functional partnerships.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and commitments.
- Exceptional listening skills to ensure mutual understanding of expectations and concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
