Maintenance Manager Job Description

Total Aviation Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our aviation maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a Safe Work Environment: Supervise maintenance personnel and oversee aircraft preparation to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Submit Manual Revisions: Identify ineffective processes or procedures and submit revisions for improvement.
  • Schedule Maintenance Activities: Schedule the department for adequate coverage during maintenance activities.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports for the Maintenance Manager on delays, cancellations, and irregularities.
  • Sign Maintenance Releases: Sign maintenance releases and take full responsibility for aircraft during checks.
  • Monitor Aircraft Appearance: Ensure aircraft are well presented and meet company standards.
  • Account for Personnel Performance: Monitor personnel performance and maintain communication with departments.
  • Maintain Tool Inventories: Ensure proper use and maintenance of tool inventories.
  • Facilitate Pre-Shift Briefings: Promote team dialogue and facilitate pre-shift briefings.
  • Supervise Lead Mechanics: Supervise the Lead Mechanic and delegate duties as needed.
  • Oversee Security and Safety Management: Oversee the Company's Security and Safety Management System and related outputs.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
  • Experience: At least three years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Travel Requirements: Must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S.
