About the Role:

Enercon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Services Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare error-free engineering documents, including drawings, sketches, and instructions, according to industry codes and regulations.
  • Generate engineering-related documents in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design techniques.
  • Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and documentation.
  • Produce high-quality engineering deliverables that meet client and company quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications.
  • Consult with other disciplines to ensure designs are compatible and meet all disciplinary requirements.
  • Travel to plant sites to interface with client personnel and perform walk-downs of plant structures and systems.
  • Review and manage project schedules and resources to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Serve as the Responsible Engineer (RE) and/or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) on projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Mid-Level: 3 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems.
  • Senior-Level: 7 years of prior experience in nuclear or power generation design of mechanical systems.
  • Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experience desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of mechanical calculations.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
