Position Overview:

Key Position Highlights:
  • This role will be conducted in our warm water therapy pool.
  • Involves community swimming instruction.
  • Some evening and Saturday morning hours required.
Role Responsibilities:

Facilitate aquatic exercise and rehabilitation programs while monitoring client progress and adapting programs to ensure clients achieve their fitness objectives.

Main Duties:
  • Lead group and individual aquatic exercise and rehabilitation sessions.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
    • Provide one-on-one instruction and hands-on support to clients.
    • Track client progress and adjust programs to promote maximum independence and fitness achievement.
  • React promptly to emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including class rosters and client records.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 16 years with the necessary education and/or experience to fulfill required competencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in teaching aquatic skills.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource certification required from American Heart Association or Allina Health within 60 days.
  • Lifeguard Certification from American Red Cross required within 2 weeks of hire.
Physical Requirements:
  • Medium Work:
    Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
