Job Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify communication disorders
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide expert speech and language therapy in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions
  • Attend meetings and provide detailed reports on student progress

Requirements:

  • A valid Michigan State SLP License is mandatory, along with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
