LaSalle Network, a leading provider of direct hire and temporary staffing services, is seeking an experienced Mainframe Storage Solutions Architect to join their team. As a key member of the organization, this individual will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise-grade tape and disk storage systems (DASD) for mainframe environments.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of mainframe storage management solutions like DFSMS, FDR/ABR, CA-1, DFRMM, or similar tools, as well as experience supporting disaster recovery within a mainframe environment. They should also possess strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support enterprise-grade tape and disk storage systems (DASD) for mainframe environments
- Ensure storage infrastructure is prepared for disaster recovery testing, including replication management
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues during DR testing and document lessons learned
- Assist with new client migrations and prepare their storage for future DR readiness
- Act as a subject matter expert on storage during DR testing and escalate unresolved issues
- 8+ years of experience in a senior-level role supporting z/OS environments, including tape and DASD functions
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe storage management solutions like DFSMS, FDR/ABR, CA-1, DFRMM, or similar tools
- Experience supporting disaster recovery within a mainframe environment
- Proven ability to migrate data between mainframe storage subsystems (tape and DASD)
- Experience opening support tickets with major storage vendors
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for creating client-facing documentation
- Understanding of data replication concepts
- Familiarity with Copy Services Manager (CSM) and IBM GRID technology
- Experience with DELL EMC PMAX, VMAX, and DLM storage systems
