Sr. Solution Delivery Architect of Mainframe Storage

to join the team. The ideal candidate will support TAPE and DASD functions, and bring a senior level of knowledge of mainframe storage management environments including CA-1, DFRMM, DFSMS, and equivalent. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, and is fully remote.

Sr. Solution Delivery Architect of Mainframe Storage

Responsibilities:
Manage and support enterprise-grade tape and disk storage systems (DASD) for mainframe environments
Ensure storage infrastructure is prepared for disaster recovery testing, including replication management
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues during DR testing and document lessons learned
Assist with new client migrations and prepare their storage for future DR readiness
Act as a subject matter expert on storage during DR testing and escalate unresolved issues
Design and implement storage solutions to meet client and business needs

Sr. Solution Delivery Architect of Mainframe Storage

Requirements:
8+ years of experience in a senior-level role supporting z/OS environments, including tape and DASD functions
In-depth knowledge of mainframe storage management solutions like DFSMS, FDR/ABR, CA-1, DFRMM, or similar tools
Experience supporting disaster recovery within a mainframe environment
Proven ability to migrate data between mainframe storage subsystems (tape and DASD)
Experience opening support tickets with major storage vendors
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for creating client-facing documentation
Understanding of data replication concepts
Familiarity with Copy Services Manager (CSM) and IBM GRID technology
Experience with DELL EMC PMAX, VMAX, and DLM storage systems
Experience with Luminex recovery (a plus, but not required)
