Job Title: AI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Specialist to join our team at Medpace. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing large language models and fine-tuning them based on structured and text-based data inputs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a private, large language model, fine-tuned based on both structured and text-based data inputs
  • Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature to interact with the LLM
  • Contribute to data architecture review, and support structural changes as needed
  • Support departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in training and development of more junior team members
Requirements:
  • Masters or PhD in engineering, computer or data science, or related field
  • Proven experience implementing and fine-tuning Large Language Models for interactive AI applications
  • Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning
  • Technical proficiency in programming languages and frameworks commonly used in NLP and AI (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and mentor technical teams
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and AI technologies
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
