Job Summary

ShorePoint is seeking a highly skilled SOC Analyst to join our team in Washington D.C. As a SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats in a dynamic and high-security environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and triage real-time security alerts to identify potential threats.
  • Coordinate and manage incident reports to ensure timely and effective response.
  • Perform incident analysis, including forensic artifact and malware analysis, to identify root causes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Execute incident containment, eradication, and recovery to minimize business impact.
  • Provide incident response support and assist with Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain the Incident Response Plan (IR Plan) to ensure seamless service continuity.
  • Identify and assign incident response roles and responsibilities to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Generate SOC best practices reports and ensure cybersecurity controls are in place to protect against emerging threats.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, plus 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in cybersecurity incident management and SOC operations.
  • Proficiency in forensic artifact and malware analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including FISMA and NIST SP 800 series.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Active Top-Secret agency required security clearance to start.
