Ambulatory Care Nurse Job Summary

NYU Langone Health System is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYU Langone Surgical Oncology Associates - Mineola. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in an ambulatory setting, including administering treatments and medications, performing diagnostic tests, and collecting patient health history.
  • Collaborate with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans of care and implement evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with current nursing knowledge and best practices to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (highly preferred) or Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS certification.
  • Membership in pertinent professional organizations.
