Job Description

At Informa, we're looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Global Support department, you'll play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and hands-on support to our business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, reconcile, and analyze monthly management reports, including profit and loss and balance sheet details.
  • Perform financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Publish financial results in SAP FC and ensure effective communication between the SSC, Group finance, and business teams.
  • Assist with acquisition integration, due diligence, and key process testing and systems.
  • Analyze and solve ad-hoc problems using knowledge of business and systems.
  • Perform WIP analysis, product costing, provisions, and process intercompany transactions.
  • Review bad debt, accruals, and prepayment calculations, and treasury postings and reconciliations.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and analysis of direct cost base and divisional recharges.
  • Tax and compliance duties as required by the SSC.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of R2R processes within the area.
  • A good knowledge of Oracle systems.
  • Knowledge of best practice in an R2R environment.
  • Recognized qualification or Accounting degree preferable (SSC specific).
  • 4 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internal departments, and key contacts.
  • Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to remain approachable under pressure.
  • Knowledge and ability to use relevant internal systems.
  • Act with integrity, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete a variety of related tasks.
  • Pro-actively solve problems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to be flexible within the role.
