Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a key member of our hotel engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry and move equipment, tools, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as required.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
  • Knowledge of hotel engineering systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
