About the position:

Tensorwave is looking for an expert who can leverage their knowledge of PyTorch, open-source AI libraries, kernel development, and GPU acceleration to drive breakthroughs in AI model training and optimization. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in empowering our customers with cutting-edge tools and techniques for fine-tuning and training deep learning models on AMD GPUs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to enhance PyTorch's performance on AMD GPUs.
  • Develop custom frameworks and tools to streamline model fine-tuning and training for our customers.
  • Identify and resolve compatibility issues with libraries, working closely with internal and external teams.
  • Design and implement optimization strategies to accelerate deep learning model training on AMD GPUs.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to pinpoint bottlenecks in the AMD GPU acceleration pipeline and propose solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning, GPU acceleration, and model optimization techniques, focusing on ROCm and AMD hardware.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with PyTorch for training and fine-tuning deep learning models.
  • A solid understanding of GPU architecture, memory management, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ for developing high-performance deep learning models.
  • Extensive experience with LLM / transformer architecture and a deep understanding of its internals.
  • Experience with GPU kernel development (CUDA or ROCm) for deep learning applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
