Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Position Overview:
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work one-on-one with children to implement behavior plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role requires direct interaction with children, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to improve their social, communication, and adaptive skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Record and collect data on each client's progress and behavior.
- Provide consistent positive reinforcement for appropriate behaviors.
- Assist clients in developing functional skills to promote independence.
- Maintain regular communication with BCBAs, parents, and team members.
- Attend ongoing training and professional development sessions.
- Maintain RBT certification and meet all training requirements.
Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with children with ASD is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to follow behavior plans and data collection procedures accurately.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for in-home services).
- Ability to pass a background check
Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.
