Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the State of Washington. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide direct care and support to residents in a residential setting, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered care, working collaboratively with the care team, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Assist residents with physical, social, and habilitative skill development, promoting their independence and self-determination.
  • Transport and escort residents to and from various recreational activities and health appointments.
  • Participate in activities of daily living, including physical, social, and habilitative skill development.
  • Provide safe and protective interventions in the presence of challenging behaviors.
  • Observe, document, and report physical, medical, and behavioral changes in residents.
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • One year of related experience or high school completion or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the care team and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Strong commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting resident independence and dignity.
