Job Title: Lunchroom and Playground Aide

At Genesee Education Consultant Services, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Lunchroom and Playground Aide. This role is a vital part of our Student Support Services team, responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of students in both the lunchroom and playground areas.

Job Summary:

The Lunchroom/Playground Aide is responsible for creating a positive and inclusive environment for students, promoting their physical and emotional well-being. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport students to and from the cafeteria and playground, ensuring their safety and supervision at all times.
  • Model and teach students proper cafeteria manners, promoting a respectful and considerate environment.
  • Ensure the cafeteria and playground are safe and secure, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • Administer basic first aid to students as needed, providing prompt and effective care.
  • Manage student disputes and concerns, using active listening and conflict resolution skills to resolve issues.
  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities on the playground or during indoor recess, promoting physical activity and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with the principal and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Adhere to all program and district rules, policies, and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with school-age students is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to students, staff, and parents.
Compensation:

$12 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
