About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Therapist I to join our team at Inova Loudon Behavioral Health. This is a full-time day shift position with some weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitating support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, and chronic or life-limited illnesses.
  • Provide documentation and perform administrative functions appropriate to the clinical role and/or department.
  • Adhere to Inova Health System's Culture of Safety and participate in maintaining a professional culture throughout the organization.
  • Strive to increase professional knowledge, develop expertise, and work toward licensure and certifications.
Requirements
  • 0-1 year of experience in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming.
  • Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
  • Group Therapy experience preferred.
Education and Certifications
  • Master's Degree - Social Work (preferred).
  • Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, substance use disorders, or behavioral health-related field.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association within 3 months of hire, Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire.
