Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to join our team. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes, assisting them with transitioning from the hospital and providing continuous care to remain at home with their loved ones.

Responsibilities

  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in a timely and compliant manner
  • Provide health promotion, teaching, and training to family members
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
  • Follow up with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition

Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
