Position Overview:
The Senior Sales Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily functions of the Global Business Development team. Reporting to the VP of Global Revenue Operations, this position is essential for the operational efficiency of our sales initiatives.
This role emphasizes assistance to our business development team through cost analysis, pipeline oversight, proposal support, and ownership of various periodic reports and evaluations. Responsibilities include crafting detailed operational cost assumptions, managing project-level cost assessments, and supporting sales analytics. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering strong collaborative relationships with subject matter experts, developing comprehensive operational cost justifications, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, and collaborating with finance on sales projections. We seek a proactive individual with a keen analytical mindset, capable of identifying trends within our data and drawing insightful conclusions independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the cost modeling process for NovaSource, including comprehending the model's functionality, understanding how inputs influence outcomes, and effectively communicating this information to the business development team.
- Relay necessary modifications to our standard cost model to the Performance Optimization team.
- Administer our global sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring governance of sales opportunities and advising leadership on risk management.
- Manage standardized business development templates, particularly our standard proposal format.
- Take ownership of all business development-related dashboards currently utilized in Power BI.
- Assist in the Sales Compensation process.
- Provide analytical support for RFP and bidding processes, extending beyond typical cost modeling activities as needed.
- Conduct business development-related analyses (market and competitor evaluations, win/loss assessments, pipeline efficiency, lead-to-win conversion rates, etc.).
- Support additional business development activities (lead generation, sales conference research, post-conference reporting, and creating ad hoc content for sales presentations, etc.).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a business development support role within the renewables sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a knack for creative problem-solving.
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills.
- Proficient technical writing skills with an emphasis on concise communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of engaging with senior management in a clear and logical manner.
- Proven track record of successfully driving various business initiatives to completion.
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, conduct analyses independently, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong capability to build cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in a multinational organization, including direct support of international emerging markets.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Willingness to work on-site as required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a business development support capacity.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
