Position Overview:
The Electrical Field Service Technician (EFST) plays a crucial role in supporting Field Operations by ensuring the reliability of automation controls within our fleet of electrical systems. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to keep site operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to field personnel via phone, electronic means, and onsite visits as required.
- Conduct training sessions for Field Operations and Basin Shop members on electrical devices.
- Load and configure PLC and Drive programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and associated electrical systems.
- Execute tests on PLC/VFD control units and connected components, including pumps and sensors.
- Assist Field Leaders with the setup and training of newly deployed IoT systems.
- Repair and replace electrical devices and equipment as necessary.
- Upgrade hardware and software, providing training on system operation.
- Calibrate and commission newly installed devices, maintaining regular control system checks.
- Collaborate with Field Operations, Basin Shop, and Engineering teams as needed.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or potential hazards in the work environment.
- Maintain inventory levels of electrical components and manage purchasing as required.
- Conduct preventive maintenance audits on field-deployed assets.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Solid understanding of PLC equipment and low voltage devices (600VAC and lower).
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drive systems (Siemens, Yaskawa, AB).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with calibration processes.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to use measuring devices and a variety of hand and power tools.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks effectively.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Preferred: 2-Year Associate Degree in Electronics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, focusing on controls and electrical troubleshooting.
