PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cost Control and Scheduling Specialist will oversee and coordinate efforts for cost estimation, ensuring quality assurance reviews for estimates managed by the Company and other Builder Operators across all Gate and Funding milestones.

This role also involves preparing Comparative Estimates and Schedules to assess Operated by Others (OBO) Operator submissions. Additionally, the Specialist will engage in estimate and schedule evaluations to verify project cost and schedule foundations. Participation in the Estimating Group's process enhancement tools and quality assurance review improvements is also expected.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES
Beyond Level 1 responsibilities, a Level 2 Specialist will:

  • Assist in establishing the baseline cost control framework (both internal and external) and project documentation
  • Generate forecasts, cost trend analyses, and monitor financial and budget projections across multiple projects at the same site
  • Report on discrepancies, savings, and excesses, providing recommendations for corrective measures

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Ability to negotiate and facilitate successful outcomes among internal coordination teams
  • Proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls at various levels
  • Strong skills in influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical thinking, and computing
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional activities

Job Functions -

  • Develop analytics for root cause failure analysis.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance to align with regulatory compliance and reliability standards.
  • Review and monitor workflows, forms, and identify potential efficiency improvements in software applications.
  • Understand the scope of work concerning safety and production impacts
  • Collaborate with internal experts and third-party vendors to enhance existing technology, integrate additional software solutions, and explore new technological advancements.
Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in Planning and/or Scheduling optimization
  • Create documentation related to maintenance while tracking and communicating maintenance costs.
  • Proficient in using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical thinking, and computing
  • Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Familiarity with Gas Plant operations is advantageous
  • Knowledge of E-maintenance software is a plus
