Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced engineering professionals while managing your own projects. Your primary responsibility will be to implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing solutions for existing and new process lines, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings.

• Providing sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Studying and recommending techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
• Coordinating design activities and installations with other departments.
• Providing technical support, including troubleshooting equipment and addressing operator inquiries.
• Completing engineering calculations to validate new equipment or process implementations.
• Representing the engineering department on cross-functional teams.
• Preparing specifications for equipment and installation and securing bids from suppliers and contractors.
• Analyzing equipment and contractor installation specifications.
• Preparing layout and design drawings as required.
• Requisitioning materials and equipment for capital projects.
• Planning, scheduling, and supervising construction activities and participating in startup and evaluation of new equipment.
• Maintaining engineering documentation, including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Process and operations knowledge.
• Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge.
• Data-driven decision-making skills, including effective use of process automation tools and IT.
• Thorough and organized approach.
• Confidence and composure under pressure.
• Manufacturing methods and procedure expertise.

You should also be able to travel up to 25% of the time and be available for significant travel during larger projects.
