Civil Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in St. Louis, MO, focusing on transportation projects.

Job Overview

As a key member of our Transportation group, you will work closely with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters collaboration and career growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, self-starting Civil Engineer looking to work on diverse transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently complete engineering tasks within established federal, state, and local criteria, utilizing professional judgment.
  • Under the direction of the Project Manager, assign and manage tasks and schedules for Staff Engineer (I/II) and non-exempt project team members.
  • Ensure the accuracy of completed tasks by implementing HR Green QA/QC processes.
  • Complete major design tasks meeting internal and external customer needs.
  • Monitor and proactively identify or correct technical, schedule, or financial issues through effective communication with the Project Manager or other management staff.
  • Respond to contractor questions and issues, preparing and issuing project addenda as needed.
  • May participate in the preparation of engineering services proposals, including time schedules and costs of proposed work.
  • Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
  • Communicate on technical matters with clients verbally and in writing.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and professional registration (P.E.) in Missouri at minimum, with the ability to obtain registration in other states where HR Green conducts business.
  • Authorization from the Project Manager to sign engineering documents as an authorized agent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in design/engineering, preferably completing roadway designs.
  • Advanced knowledge of office automation, CADD, and engineering tools, including Bentley OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation V8i, AutoDesk Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical verbal and writing skills, with the ability to read technical literature and engineering plans.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive estimated salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
