As the Nutrition Services Supervisor at Patterson Health Center, you will oversee the daily operations of the Nutrition Services Department, ensuring excellence in food management and service quality. Your role will encompass the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Management of Food Operations:** Supervise daily food service activities to guarantee high standards of quality and safety.
2. **Procurement and Supply Management:** Handle the purchasing of food supplies and equipment maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
3. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure that all sanitary conditions are upheld and that the department meets regulatory standards for health facility licensure.
4. **Staff Leadership:** Provide guidance, training, and recruitment for staff members, fostering a productive work environment.
5. **Meal Preparation Participation:** Actively engage in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines.
6. **Nutritional Planning:** Apply nutritional principles to create menus that align with therapeutic diets prescribed for patients, as well as for the cafeteria.
7. **Patient Education:** Deliver nutrition education to patients and accurately document relevant information in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Dietary Manager is required for this position.
