Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our orthodontic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our doctors with orthodontic procedures, preparing patients for treatment, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked clinic.
Responsibilities- Assist Doctors with Orthodontic Procedures: Provide thorough and efficient support to our doctors during orthodontic procedures, ensuring a high level of professionalism and patient care.
- Prepare Patients for Treatment: Check patients in, perform preliminary treatment as directed, and ensure a smooth and timely experience for every patient.
- Maintain a Clean and Well-Stocked Clinic: Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Communicate Effectively with Patients: Deliver clear and thorough instructions to patients, using visual aids as needed, and attend to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Record Electronic Chart Entries: Accurately and efficiently record electronic chart entries regarding the details of each visit.
- Obtain Patient Records: Collect patient records, including photos and impressions for study models, as required.
- Certification: Must be a Certified Dental Assistant, licensed or in process of licensure by the State of New York.
- Skills: Possess knowledge of procedures/terminology, infection control/sterilization, dental equipment maintenance, and electronic patient record use.
- Physical Requirements: Maintain a healthy lifestyle, have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, excellent vision and hearing, and be in good physical shape to withstand frequent bending, stooping, leaning, sitting, and walking.
