We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Lutheran Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies.
- Provide support to the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Count and verify surgical instruments and supplies to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Assist with the care and handling of surgical specimens and equipment.
- Participate in the turnover of rooms and restocking of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and successful operative procedure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from a formal surgical technologist program required.
- NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification required.
- Registered in the state of practice as a Surgical Technologist required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required.
- 2 years of OB scrubbing experience preferred.
- 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital preferred.
This position is located at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO.
