Job Summary

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise in acquiring and processing computer-enhanced and radiographic images will be essential in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, manipulate, and process computer-enhanced and radiographic images using Interventional Radiology equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain informed consents and ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, referring physicians, and technologists to select procedural protocols and coordinate patient care activities.
  • Provide appropriate tray set-ups and perform surgical scrub procedures utilizing sterile technique.
  • Perform IV contrast injections, start IVs, and monitor patients under conscious sedation according to hospital policy.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
  • Current ARRT (R) credential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Current RTRCV certification or ability to obtain.
  • Current VIR certification or ability to obtain within twenty-four months of hire.
  • Previous experience as a staff technologist, preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in vascular/interventional imaging, preferred.
