Social Services Coordinator

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Social Services Assistant to support the operations of our social services department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist clients visiting the CorpsDirect volunteers
- Compile and submit monthly/quarterly statistics as approved
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs
- Organize catering and refreshment needs for meetings
- Provide clerical assistance to Corps Officers and other staff
- Assist with Corps projects
- Pick up donations
- Coordinate food pantry and diaper program distributions
- Collect and submit data to Second Harvest of partnership donor participants
- Assist unhoused clients with their mail
- Warm up food for afternoon service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CA Driver's license
- Experience in data entry (preferred)
- ServSafe food handling certificate (within first fourteen days of employment)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Knowledge of Microsoft Programs
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Team player
