Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Hourly Maintenance and Utility Classifications.
  • Develop and lead Assembly Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Coordinate necessary permits for on-site and structural work.
  • Ensure the upkeep of fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
  • Manage facility security measures.
  • Supervise and maintain the on-site substation.
  • Oversee real property including roads, grounds, roofs, fences, sewers, pest control, and office interiors and exteriors.
  • Prepare and manage the facility budget.
  • Ensure completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor city water supply or wells.
  • Maintain cooling towers, chiller units, and HVAC systems.
  • Adhere to EPA regulations regarding storm runoff.
  • Act as the primary contact for plant insurance matters.
  • Manage the plant generator and emergency units.
  • Propose conceptual upgrades, projects, and repairs.
  • Prepare documentation for outside contractors and engage with the Skilled Trade Committee.
  • Identify needs and issue purchase orders accordingly.
  • Research and obtain quotes for facility projects.
  • Oversee satellite and off-site facilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in managing teams within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A solid understanding of quality procedures.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to follow directions.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Strong judgment, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to perform well under pressure while managing competing priorities.
