Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Seasonal Agronomy Operations role is essential for the effective management of crop protection products and agricultural inputs. This position requires precision in mixing products as per the manufacturer's specifications and ensuring timely delivery to custom applicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately prepare crop protection solutions following the guidelines provided by manufacturers.
  2. Facilitate the delivery of agricultural inputs and crop protection products to designated applicators.
  3. Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment.
  4. Ensure proper calibration of mixing meters to guarantee precise mixing outcomes.
  5. Adhere to safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as mandated.
  6. Maintain accurate logs, conduct daily inspections of vehicles, and complete all necessary documentation.
  7. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in agronomy operations.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in driving is essential.
  • Mechanical skills are advantageous.
  • A background in agriculture is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit, capable of lifting and moving weights up to 100 pounds, and possess full use of arms, legs, and hands.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, reach at various levels, operate in environments with moving machinery, and work at heights with exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
  • Competence in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is necessary.
  • A valid commercial driver's license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements is required.
  • Compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing is mandatory.
  • Availability to work seven days a week and on-call during peak agronomy seasons is expected.
  • Attendance at all legally required training sessions is compulsory.
  • Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is essential.
