- Attend scheduled shifts and be available for overtime hours as needed.
- Perform duties in a timely manner with integrity and strong effort.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any safety hazards or conditions.
- Ensure compliance with our Quality Policy.
- Job Specific Duties:
- Repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the production department to resolve tooling issues and improve efficiency.
- Study blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and execute operations.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and alignments.
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and bench grinders to manufacture and repair parts.
- File, grind, shim, and adjust parts to ensure proper fit and function.
- Experience working with large progressive, transfer, and deep draw dies is highly desirable.
- Cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes.
- Rework damaged components in a timely and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot problems to determine effective solutions.
- Qualifications and Education:
- A high school education or equivalent with at least three years of experience in die repair or a related technical field.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend safety, operating, and maintenance documents and procedures.
- Ability to obtain/retain certifications for Industrial Powered Lift Truck, Overhead Crane, and Lock Out/Tag Out Authorization.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
