Job Summary
Jefferson Health is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer - Orthopedic Specialist, you will provide primary support to our attending sports medicine physicians during outpatient clinic hours. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing patient pre-screening with history taking and appropriate examination techniques
- Preparing patients for arthrocentesis, cast application/removal, and sports orthosis application
- Providing administrative support, including follow-up communications with patients, insurance authorization, and patient scheduling
- Providing therapeutic care to individuals suffering injuries as a result of active lifestyles, utilizing modalities and therapeutic exercise to relieve pain, prevent disability, and restore function
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or entry-level Master's Degree from a NATA-accredited college athletic training program
- Certification by the NATA-BOC (Class A)
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- A minimum of 3 years of orthopedic casting, splinting, and cast removal experience
