Responsibilities
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will assess and deliver specialized speech-language therapy to individuals in their homes, under the supervision of a physician. The home environment may encompass single-family residences, multi-family units, assisted living facilities, independent living communities, or memory care settings.
The SLP will evaluate and treat patients facing challenges such as language disorders, motor speech issues, swallowing difficulties, cognitive communication problems, voice disorders, and those in need of alternative or augmentative communication methods. At Frontier Home Health and Hospice, SLPs frequently assist patients recovering from strokes or managing progressive conditions like Parkinson's disease and dementia.
Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license required.
- Automobile liability insurance is necessary.
- Seat belts must be worn at all times while driving.
- Reliable transportation in good working order is essential.
- Ability to drive in various weather conditions is required.
- Current licensure as an SLP in the state of employment is mandatory.
