The Bakery Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing staff performance, enhancing customer relations, and managing inventory processes including procurement and receiving. This role involves delivering food during busy service periods, initiating equipment and operational processes at the start of shifts, and ensuring proper closure of the establishment at the end of shifts. The supervisor also manages financial transactions, prepares deposits, and handles administrative tasks including required reporting. Cost management and adherence to profit and loss statements are critical responsibilities. Additionally, the supervisor conducts employee meetings and participates in safety committees while overseeing the hiring and onboarding of new team members.

Key Responsibilities:


•Oversee employee management and performance


•Enhance customer relations through effective recovery and sales strategies


•Manage inventory processes including ordering and receiving


•Deliver food, particularly during peak service times


•Initiate equipment and operational processes at the start of shifts


•Ensure proper closure of the establishment at the end of shifts


•Manage financial transactions and prepare deposits


•Administer new hire orientation and maintain company reporting


•Control costs and monitor profit and loss statements


•Facilitate employee meetings and resolve issues as they arise


•Lead safety committee initiatives and ensure food safety compliance


•Supervise the hiring and onboarding of new staff


•Manage catering operations, including driver safety programs


•Coach and develop employees across all levels


•Support hourly employee development initiatives


•Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor

Additional Responsibilities:


•Participate in regional manager meetings


•Assist in various roles within the bakery as needed


•Support other locations as required


•Answer calls and take orders when necessary


•Deliver food to customers as needed


•Implement catering sales initiatives, including:

•Daily follow-ups with guests

•Menu distribution

•Coordination and execution of community events

•Menu presentations and food tastings

•Identifying sales opportunities through proactive outreach

Qualifications:


•High School diploma or equivalent


•State Foodhandler card and ServSafe certification


•Minimum of 1 year experience as a Shift Supervisor in a bakery or similar food service environment


•Strong guest service and communication skills


•Highly organized and detail-oriented


•Familiarity with CBC CORE systems


•Completion of CBC Management Training program


•Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and POS systems


•Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus


•Formal leadership training such as Situational Self Leadership is advantageous


•Valid driver's license with proof of insurance and a clean driving record
