Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Automation / PLC Programmer to join our team. This role is crucial for the successful commissioning and operation of automation control systems within our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of facility commissioning, emphasizing automation control systems.
- Ensure project timelines are met by maintaining detailed status reports.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of facility equipment, process flows, and automation designs.
- Develop and validate automation programs in compliance with engineering documentation.
- Utilize various software tools for PLC programming and HMI development.
- Complete necessary documentation to support current as-built conditions post-commissioning.
- Adhere to the Management of Change (MOC) process and client standards.
- Provide training and support to operations and automation specialists.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing low voltage AC power supplies.
- Identify and resolve communication issues in field devices.
- Collaborate with asset teams to communicate project activities effectively.
- Participate in evaluating new technologies and their applications.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Control Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of automation and electrical design principles.
- Proficient in working with PLCs, HMIs, and various automation devices.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including on-call duties.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation integration and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience in oil field process facilities.
