Job Title: Banquet Captain

Atira Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions at our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the setup, service, and breakdown of events, including banquets, weddings, and conferences.
  • Lead a team of banquet staff, including servers, housemen, and bartenders, to ensure excellent customer service and event execution.
  • Collaborate with the catering manager and banquet chef to plan and execute events, including menu planning, table settings, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Ensure that all events are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage event budgets, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and controlling costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and food safety certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
