The Project Engineer will serve as the central figure on a range of prominent and essential projects within our organization. This role demands a high degree of organization to guide team members in the creation and execution of deliverables that align with our stringent quality benchmarks. The Project Engineer is expected to act as a technical leader among colleagues while engaging in various aspects of the construction process, including comprehensive construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular discussions with leadership to assess progress, address challenges, and highlight achievements.
  • Contribute to project-specific planning, design, construction, and completion milestones.
  • Oversee project delivery by assigning technical and design tasks while mentoring team members.
  • Formulate project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site evaluations and track progress to guarantee adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control processes for projects and recommend necessary team-wide adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines through thorough quality assurance and control of reports, plans, and specifications.
  • Implement project delivery methodologies such as work breakdown structures tailored to team needs.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Effectively communicate complex issues and propose solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of professional liability, quality procedures, and other engineering/technical competencies.
  • Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and current industry standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, and standing; capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
  • This position necessitates in-person work.
  • Professional, business casual office environment.
